Journal of Urban Landscape Research (JULR) is a biannual peer review scientific journal which publishes in Shiraz, IRAN. The subjects of manuscripts include various fields in landscape architecture and urban design regarded to keyword "SCAPE". The journal Special Issue intends to publish No.5 in summer 2016 with the theme "Public art and urban landscape/ Urbanscape". Public art considered as an intertextual reading of literature, architecture, urban landscape, folk culture and art, which can dilute the border between culture and urban life. In fact, public art as an urban art consists of a variety of visual, performance and environmental art occur outdoors in public spaces as cultural production and social services to all the public. Urban context give that the possibility of such art & objects and finds its capacity. For this reason some of the most important research topics proposed is as follows.
The research topics and the main topics:
- Graffiti in the urban landscape: graffiti and murals in perspective of the contemporary world;
- Urban sculptures and Ceremonial arts in urban landscape: Nowruz and Christian New Year or other cultural ceremonial public arts and the urban landscape; urban landscape and urban sculpture;
- Environmental Art and urban landscape: land art and urban landscape; urban parks and environmental art; natural elements in the city and environmental art; public and environmental art in cities;
- Street theater in the urban landscape: urban spaces and different types of performing arts; urban spaces, the collective memory and a variety of street performances;
Original research papers should approached as a result of authors original works. Editorial board excused to accepting reviewing and descriptive papers. Pathology approach, typology and analyzing case studies and analytic researches in particular will be a priority.
Due to our interdisciplinary topics, professional papers from all experts in different fields are to be accepted.
Submitted papers should not be published before at the conferences or other publications or may not be in review at the same time elsewhere.
